Another New Addition
November 29th, 2005 by kamkueyAs mentioned in my previous postings, I got my self a digital SLR, the Canon EOS D60 (old old DSLR but still can use lar.. new one very expensive) and a Canon EF 50mm f1.8. Later I added on a Sigma 70-300mm.
So I lack a wide angle lense for event shots. The 50mm’s viewing angle is just too narrow. Hunted high and low.. and found someone selling his Sigma 17-35mm… and I bought it.

The package includes the lense hood as well as the lense casing. A very nice touch. Canon should pay attention.
Sad thing is that it does not come with a protective filter. And the HUGE 82mm filter does not come cheap… and almost all shops do not keep stock.

Here is another view of the lense.
So how is the lense? I just love the viewing angle. Very wide. Unfortunately, the lense is not very sharp. I have to stop down a few notches to get better quality pics.
Anyways, still can use. Softness only noticable when you blow up the pics.
Bring on the events!!
