Internet dating, cyber dating.. whatever you call it, it is taboo. Yet it is exciting. Hot and cold. Mixed feelings. Just like watching your mother in law drive off a cliff in your brand new BMW.

Yes of course that there are many cases on ‘online date cheating’. Dun be stupid and run away with him or her to get married and sign over your life savings three days after first meeting lar.
First rule is to treat online chats, forums or anything online as ‘the meeting place’. Just like a library, the park, the mee yok stall, car wash, church or temple.
Second rule; First meeting always MEET at a public place. Dun allow the other party to pick you up.
Third Rule; Have fun.
See.. it is simple right? Once you have the first rule out of the way, then no problem liao.
But do exercise caution lar. Dun be a moron and go ask ‘baby_princess’ out the first day you two chat. Chat for a little while BEFORE asking to meet.
And for the girls. Treat all guys trying to contact you as a potential rapist. Let him earn your trust. There are guys prowling the internet to prey on innocent little girls like you.
And ladies.. in an online forum many of the members are FAKE. They will claim to have fancy jobs, fancy cars, fancy this and that, but all they have is an old Datsun 120Y and is still living with mummy and daddy and is a balding 40 year old. They have the computer screen to hide themselves, and then they gain your trust a little, asks for your photographs and then masturbates while check your photos out. So becareful. Always meet up that person before sending him anything. Most forums have meet ups or gatherings. So go with some of the frens you know. That is if you are interested lar.
I personally know of this one guy who BRAGS, even to his real life friends about his job, cars, girls and everything else in his life. He claims to own a BMW 325i Coupe but he drives a 1990 faded red Daihatsu Charade passed on down from his mom. His excuse? Scared police catch because fully modded and tinted. He claims to have tonnes of supermodel girls as friends, but none of them ever turn up for any of our functions. He has also claimed that he married one of them supermodels (but ony claimed that to us) but in the forum, he is single and available.
Anyways, the ideal scenario is this…

- starts to private message each other
- girl allows guy to add her into his online chat
- starts to chat daily
- girl gives guy her mobile number
- starts sms-ing + chatting online
- starts calling + sms + chat online
- meets up at KLCC, have expensive coffee
- guys picks up girl
- hangs at each other’s place
- hold hands
- hug + kiss
- sex
- relationship starts
Whether relationship should be place before hold hands or not is up to you. And how long the duration from first meet online until relationship is also up to you. Some take days, some take weeks, some months, while others years.
So again, it is not INTERNET DATING. It is dating someone you met online.
Otherwise there would be LIBRARY DATING, PARK DATING, CLUB DATING, CHURCH DATING and UNIVERSITY DATING… etc etc.
