Met up with Avril on Sunday for lunch.

I was feeling rather bored sitting here in the office, with nothing to do. On duty konon. *sigh* So I called tortoise girl up and she asked that I go fetch her for lunch. Which I did. Good also lar.. snake from work. muahahaha.

Today I went to have KFC for lunch… and this is what I saw pasted on one of their walls…

I have here with me, a very stubborn and hard-headed guy who works for ‘a certain department’. He works in my section, and supposed to be under me. But somehow, he thinks that he is not. His leave, overtime and all that does not go through me, but to another fellow. So whether he is working, on leave or on overtime, I would not know.

The funny thing is, the management does not seem to care. Prolly because he is beyond control and is letting him be.

Anyways, he proclaims himself as ’supervisor’. So I gave him the responsibility of overseeing the man power, ensuring that there is someone manning the phones at any one time during our operating hours. This includes (and I have mentioned this many times to him) that he is to update the schedule and inform myself if there is someone on leave and no one to man the phones.

Last Monday, he went on leave without informing me.

Yesterday he came in as if nothing happened. So I asked him.

Me : Ermm… You were on leave yesterday right?
Moron : Yes.. WHY? *giving lansi look*
Me : How come you did not update the schedule or inform me about it?
Moron : aiya… this is small matter

I have to stop here and ask that you bear in mind, this moron is a lowly ‘certain department’ servant who thinks waaaaay too highly of himself.

Me : No. This is a big matter. Especially when you as the supervisor dun do you duties. There were no one to man to cover your shift, and we had to make last minute changes to get someone to cover your shift. We have discussed this many times; when you go on leave, inform us before hand.
Moron : But it is MY RIGHT to take leave

Haiyor!!! How moronic can this guy be? At this point, his arrogance and plain moronic behaviour wast oo much liao… so I blew my top..

*sigh*

I think I had better not put down what I replied.

Anyways, after my shelling, some of my koliks ask how come I dare to give that guy a shelling wan. You see… that guy is on contract from “a certain deparment” and I on the otherhand is from a private company commissioned to operate and maintain the project. So we are to ensure that the system runs fine. In terms of human resource and disciplinary action, we are not to do a thing to the operators/agents.

So, in a way, I have no right to shell him up. But, if I dun, I get the shelling from my top fellows. So… typical do this kena fuck, do that kena fuck. SoI prefer getting fucked for doing something than getting fucked doing nothing.
