Ever since Cheryl bought me dinner at Jogoya, I have been wanting to get back to savour the mouth watering dishes they have laid out for me to stuff into my bottomless pit called the stomach.
Jogoya is a Japanese buffet restaurant which originated from, of all places, Taiwan. This is what I understand, I hope I am not wrong. The restaurant is located at one of the most luxurious shopping centres around. To me, it is the most luxurious. Where else can you find a concierge in a shopping mall? The most is an information counter.
Anyways, I did go again with a bunch of my co-workers and their other halves.
Not many people are willing to spend about RM100 (depending on the time) per head on a single meal.
This time around, a last minute plan, a bunch of friends want to give it a try. So off I went..

Yes.. this is desert, but someone decided that it looked too good to be left behind, so he brought this to the table on his first round.

While others immediately scrambled for the sashimi spread.

I am not a fan of raw stuff…. but they sure do look good.

I love this dish. I do not know what the rest are, but there is a piece of king crab in there. Simply delicious! They serve it in a paper cone, stashed on top of a wire mesh dish and set over gentle flame to keep warm.

This is another dish I do not know how to enjoy. The rest probably wipped out half their stocks.

Chocolate balls.
If there is one thing I like about Jogoya is their deserts. They serve them in small little bite sized dishes. So you can sample a whole range of deserts without feeling “jelak”.

See.. they are indeed nice to photograph!

This is the king crab. They prepared it in a way so that you do not have to use hammers or nut crackers. Just push the flesh right out of the shell.

See??

Good food plus good company… what more can one ask for?? They joked through-out the dinner/supper..

And had good laughing sessions

Then we yam-seng..

And a group photo..
And we walked out of the totally empty restaurant (saved for the staff).
BTW …. Thanks to Eric Wong (third guy from right front row) for the photos… hopefully he would not mind me linking to his hosting site.
