So here goes.. the top 5 movies for myself are, in no particular order..
IDENTITY

Suspense thriller. This is a thinking movie. Ten strangers met up at a motel during a thunderstorm. Each of them with a dark secret. Their motel, their shelter from the storm soon turn into terror as the ten dies one by one. And the only way to save themselves is to find out the darkest secret among them. This is one of the best movies I have ever watched. Gripping tale with a twist.
THE TERMINAL

This movie is actually quite slow. But somehow, it is wonderfully watchable. So watchable that I bought a DVD and re-watched it. Interestingly over and over again, without being bored of it. Inspired by the case of a displaced Iranian without documents trapped in a French airport for more than a decade, The Terminal is a wonderfully light movie to enjoy after a hard day’s work. It shows how Victor, having no country (due to a coup in his country during his international flight) goes on day to day, finding food, money and friends at the same time. Another must watch.
STARSHIP TROOPERS

Dun laugh. It is a very good no-need-use-brain good guys kill bad aliens movie. Very straight forward, lots of firepower, fantastic space ship cinematography. Think Star Wars.
FOREST GUMP

Almost everyone’s favourite. Need I say more?
And.. last but not least..
The Lord of the Ring Trilogy

Epic movie. Epic cinematography. Epic adventure.
Who to tag ar? erm… let’s see… SLENZ and DINO

Here are a some of the few photographs which I have taken over the past few months. They are not related to each other and they are not from one single event or anything like that. The only similarity amongst them is, obviously, people portraits which I like to take.

Photos like the ones above are ‘posed’ photos, where the subject is aware that you are taking his or her photographs.
The first one is during a photoshoot in Pulau Ketam sometime last year, during the Raya holidays. Pulau Ketam is a little island off Klang. The entire village is built on stilts. Most of them have been replaced with concrete platforms but there are still some wooden stilts and platforms remaining. The houses and shops are painted in bright pastel colours which makes very good background for model shoots. The second photograph is your typical studio photoshoot.
But what I really like to photograph, are photos where the subjects are unaware, like the following.

This is Eric while hanging out over a delicious cup of Neslo Ice. I joined them one night right after a photoshoot, so I brought along my camera instead of leaving them in the car. So I took a couple of shots. The following are also taken during one of the many TT (Teh Tarik) sessions.

Adrian and Ken, both taken using ISO3200.

These two were shot during the urban model shoot a day after the new year where we shot a model against the urban landscape as well as traffic.
It was also during this urban model shoot that I was introduced to a new style of shooting portraits…

Some people do not like it, some people do. I like it.
People photography.

It is all about capturing the moment.

Or bringing you back to one..

…

or maybe two…
