Recently, I have been struck by ‘artsy’ photographs. You know, abstract snapshots of stuff, mainly people in motion. Then a friend handed me a book, a showcase of photographs. Photographs of people in motion!! Wow!! Talk about ask and you shall receive, or rather want and you shall receive.

The photos were excellent. A little bit difficult to digest, but still excellent.

So last weekend, I tried…

Anyways, CNY this year is just like any other CNY. Food, food and more food. Too bad this time around, I woke up the day before CNY with a toothache. Aparently my wisdom tooth is giving me some problems. So I am not able to chew on the side which is inflamed.

Food started way before the 30th night. The first was a week before, some koliks and I went for lou sang during lunch, followed by the dinner lou sang and many other lou sangs which followed. Anyways, to cut a long story short, here are some pictures.

Someone got VIP passes to Jogoya (a japanese buffet spread which aparently originated from taiwan). So I was able to have this.. Alaskan King Crab cooked terriyaki style. Wonderous!!

There were other kinds of VIP dishes. This is one of them..

Oh shit!! Forgot about the lou sang. Supposed to be the first dish..

Supposed to mix up the finely chopped stuff (veges if I am not mistaken), raw salmon and some crackers mixed with special sauces together to bring good fortune.

So we lou-ed..

and lou-ed..

and lou-ed until it was all over the place.. even on some of our hands.

Then we attacked the mixed stuff…

Until there was none left..

So anyways.. the trip back was uneventful. I took a day off and left for kampung a day early. Traffic was clear and we could stick to the speed limit all the way (yeah.. even the 60kmh speed limit stretches) and made it home within 3 hours.

And then it was food…

… food..

.. food (this is one of my favs.. dunno what stuffing.. delicious when enjoyed with home made chilli-sauce)

.. and MORE food.

too bad I could not fully enjoy all of them due to my toothache
