Blogmob!!
It was a very normal day when I first caught a glimpse of Kash’s comment among the many spam comments I get each day. Having not checked my site for a couple of days, there were quite a number of spams and Kash’s comment was neatly stashed among them. Good thing I scanned through thoroughly before brushing them off as spam. I replied, and last weekend we met up… along with many others.

Basically to cut a long story short, Mobileworld and Samsung decided to loan their new mobile phones, namely the i450 and the i550 to 16 bloggers for us to live with it for a month. Not bad lar, since most of us are very into mobile phones anyways. For those of you who knows me, I change mobile phones once every 6 months on the average.
Anyways, I was a little bit kan cheong that day. It was my first time I was invited to participate in such an event. So I was a wee bit early, the first to arrive. Then the rest trickled in.
There were a healthy mix of people from various background and with that, we too have a good mix of blogs of various interests. We have blogs about phones, photos, serious business stuff as well as normal everyday stuff.
Oh.. there is also a mummy blog! Now we wait for a mummy’s input on the canggih smartphones. I am a shy guy by nature, so I a bit shy to go talk to the rest there. But there was a good mix and good mingling of people from various walks of life.
The Samsung big guns were also present, which goes to show how dedicated and passionate they are with their mobile phones. Our (well.. at least mine) confidence went off the charts.
They took their time in explaining the various features of the new phones and explained a little about the technology which went into the phone. To most of us (again.. at least to me) it was a little surprising to see a Samsung mobile phone running on Symbian S60 operating system. I was a little skeptical about the S60 platform because it is notoriously slow.

But the at Samsung challenged us to give it a try.
After a while, they made preparations to hand out the phones. And this is where the 4 of Spades comes in. You see there were two phone mobiles to be given out, the i450 and the i550. Both have their strengths. Both have their own good points. I like both phones, but cannot be to greedy lar. Anyways, the best way to see takes back which phone, Kash brought out playing cards for us to draw. Red means the i550, black means the i450. But the good thing is that you can actually exchange the phone with each other should you prefer the other.
While waiting, i took some photos.
Oh.. and Jason (from jasonmumbles) forgot to bring along his memory card for his camera. HAHA. I nearly forgot as well. I was already out of the door and towards my car when I realised I missed out something. Anyways.. he bought a brand new CF card nearby.
And so, back to the phone collection/distribution thing.
I drew the black card, and so..
I got the i450, which I have been eyeing for quite sometime now. Quite excited.
Very stylo milo!!
Everyone was kind of excited with the phone. Cannot blame us right? It is not everyday that we get a free phone. Although only for one month, it was still quite exciting.
We also checked out each other’s phone.
Mobileworld and Samsung also did feed us well. Unfortunately I was a little to hungry and the food also equally exciting for me, so forgot to take pics of the food.
So, it will be an exciting month ahead. How would the i450 influence my life and how would the phone integrate itself into my life for the next one month? Anyways, there are three contests for us to win the phones. The 3 are :
1) Blog with the most traffic
2) Who has shown the phone to the most people
3) Blog with the most interesting write up
Wooo… excitement level just went through the roof!!!
Check back for updates soon.
