No, I did not go to China. This is a new documentary by National Geographic. And they hosted a seminar, well.. it was more like a road show than a seminar. But it was fun.Unfortunately, for a of people, the drive to the city centre hotel is not too fun. It rained. And the massive congestion out there did not help one bit on the timing. It was ok for me. I only had to endure a short stretch of congestion as I took the highway all the way right up to 500m before the turn into road infront of the hotel.
I reached the hotel about 45 minutes before time. I was very early. Surprisingly, there were quite a bit of people there before me. Maybe it was the food, maybe because like me, a lot of them came straight from work. Half hour later…

The place was packed with people already. Some of them were enjoying the food spread.

Other’s waited by the door.

Me? I hijacked the iconic National Geographic icon. waahahaha…

The salsa queen

Erm.. a tv host?

Finally they opened the doors and I took a seat behind. I am the shy kind of guy. Always sitting behind, especially in class. keke

Woo.. guess who I spotted… Melvin.. CEO of photokaki.com

The organiser took the mic… and so did two others. Good thing their speeches were short and sweet. tee he he…

Then the Hutchens brothers took the stage..
And.. the snipers came out..

Some moved around for the shots

Some took shots from where they were…

I must say that I really liked Jeff’s photographs. They are really works of art. Definitely cannot be viewed by purists going by strict photographic guidelines.

Jeff

Peter.. I kind of light the green light on his face.. hahaha
And last but not least….

The Hutchens brothers and me…

Remember the last Blogmob? Well I was just notified about the upcoming Samsung Innov8 Run.

It sounds interesting. I am note sure what kind of run this is, but I am guessing something like The Amazing Race, but with a mobile phone as the guide.. or probably is the only guide. Considering that this particular Samsung phone comes with GPS navigation, I am quite certain that we would be given clues based on location, then we have to navigate ourselves over to that location, and of course, take photos with its 8 megapixel camera as proof or something like that. Probably video record the entire day since the Innov8 comes with 16GB of storage. I am really not sure how it will go lar. But knowing Samsung and the team from Blogmob, plus the ever fun loving blogmobbers, it’s definitely going to be fun.
What is interesting is that, Samsung will be giving away 3 Samsung Innov8 phones. Yea.. 3… THREE. Gosh!! I wanna win this time around. The standard camera phones out there do not cut it for me and I end up having to lug along my camera everywhere I go. Not very convinient if your camera weighs 2.5 kilos.
Anyways, … to ‘apply’ for participation, one would have to blog about the event, plus write a canggih post about why I would like to participate. Well Mr. Samsung and Mr. Blogmob Admin… I would like to participate because the last blogmob had loads of chicks was awesome. Oh.. and besides that, the last blogmob I had the Samsung i450. *sigh* .. oh.. do not get me wrong, I loved that phone. I was torn between the two phones, but decided to keep the i450 instead. So I did not get to play around with the GPS feature.. ooooh.. the GPS feature, how I would love to get my hands on that Innov8 and take a nice long drive with it. Plus, spending a day with the Innov8 and taking advantage of it to get clues and drive around town would be a great way to spend a Saturday.
Oh.. *ahem* .. did I mentioned how great the Samsung guys and gals were?

Drool Baby.. DROOL!!!
After you are done drooling, surf on to BLOGMOB for more information about this run. Got to be fun, got to be fast!!
