A Shoot in Putrajaya
December 17th, 2008 by kamkueyIt has been sometime since we went photo shooting. So one Friday night, we decided to head on down to Putrajaya and have a little bit of fun photoshooting. No, not capturing the splendor of Putrajaya, do some CLS shoot. wahaha.
So.. we headed down to Putrajaya and to our disappointment, the main street where we plan to have our shoot was taken up and there were people setting up tents for some event over the weekend. It was extremely ugly. Seriously ugly. So much was spent to make the place look nice and dandy, then they go put up ugly tents. Can’t they have the event somewhere else instead? Anyways, they do what they want lar. We had to make do.
Thankfully, on the other side, the grass was rather green..
And the moon was big and bright.
Notice the banner? WEahaha.. hilarious!!
So we quickly set up. I am still without a tripod. Hmm… I should be getting one soon. But, good support is rather pricey. Ranging from RM600.
Like cow mentioned in his blog, Creative Lighting System allows you to add another level of creativity to your photographs.
We also took some photos indoors. Which, mine did not come out right at all. wahaha.
Then we proceeded across the road.. .
Too bad the place closed at midnight. BUt you noticed the no parking sign? wahaha…
Here are some of my humble shots from that night..
Not easy trying to balance ‘hand-holdability’ and ambience lighting. *sigh* time for tripod lar. Put everything else on hold first. hahaha.
Oh.. someone got a new toy too…
and.. .cow’s monstrous lens..
These were taken when we went for yamcha after the shoot..
Jo checking out some sample photos and poses on Alan’s iPod Touch.
Jo kena poison>?
But then she whipped out her own venom.. in the form of the Sony Ericsson C902. Fuah.. very nice. I was mesmerised by the blue lights all over the phone. hahaha.. I know.. I am such a sucker for handphones.
And guess what happens when you stick a 12-24 DX lens to a full frame camera?
Waaa!! Super wide! The dark ‘frame’ is due to the small image circle, which is meant for DX-sized censors, of the lens. It is easily corrected though. Either in camera by telling it to adjust to DX framing, or you correct it while post processing. How? crop lar.. hahaha… here’s a sample…
Hmm .. somehow this fella dun like him liao. hahaha.
So anyways, there are more photos from the shoot, but I got lots of photos to process by the end of the week, so patience la ya. hehe.
