A Healthy Lifestyle… ???

January 12th, 2009 by kamkuey

I am not fit.

I am not healthy.

The food I love to eat, the drinks I love to drink… all unhealthy. *sigh* Why oh why???

But doctor say, eating is only a VERY small part of the problem. There are people who eat just as much as I do, yet they are fit enough to carry a baby grand, and yet still able to out run me. So what’s the problem?

Yeah, you guessed it. Exercise. At the moment, only my fingers get the exercise through MSN, Facebook and blogging. And it does not help that I am eating all those delicious (but sinful) food. *sigh* all them gorgeous food all are sinful.

*sigh*.. Pork Knuckles.. oh my!!

Anyways, an exercise I would really need. Daily exercise. So, I thought of getting into biking.. bicycles that it. And I thought, I would go for the rugged mountain bike. I have always wanted a mountain bike. So I went out looking for one last weekend. What I found shocked me to my  bones!! You see, I have always thought that bikes should be in the region of RM100-200.. or at most RM300. A rugged mountain bike should be around RM500.. or RM600. Or.. the best of the best mountain bike.. RM1k!! Fuah!!!

How wrong was I.

A starter mountain bike is like RM600+ while the one with more features like front suspension and disc brakes comes with a hefty price tag of RM800+. Move up a little with well known brands and you are stepping into the RM1k plus territory. And these are not the best yet. The friendly boss showed me around and finally I stopped him when he got to introducing a bike which costs half a Kancil.

Finally, after all the looking and checking and talking and touching (the bike), I settled for this bike..

The Merida Matts TFS XC 500

It costs RM3,450.00 with some freebies.
That… if WAAAAY too much. Fortunately, I heard that there is someone selling this exact same bike for a bargain! No news yet. But let’s see how things goes. And how much they priced it. :)

There’s also another bike which I momentarily considered;

the Proton Tbolt.
But then it was wee bit too fanciful looking for me. Plus it had one or two, too many extra joints or parts to worry about. So…
Anyways, I eagerly await some good news :) Hopefully tonite, or tomorrow. Let’s see how lar.

Welcome 2009!

January 4th, 2009 by kamkuey

And what better way than to welcome the new year with a feast?

So a small group of us went for a sumptuous buffet at Jogoya Jap Buffet. Quite pricey @ RM88++ per head for dinner. But, if you had tried Jogoya, you would know that it is worth it. If you compare to some other jap buffet restaurants, this is still the best place to go. If you are thinking, that Shogun is more worth it because it costs about RM30-40 less, you owe it to yourself to check out Jogoya at least once. Despite being warned that Shogun is horrible, I went ahead and tried it out. And yes, it was horrible. Like I said to many, that it is like… Japanese Buffet Chap Fan. Seriously. Anyways, without getting into details… as usual.. here are the photos to do the talking.

This is one of my favourite dishes…
