Creative Lighting System Workshop - Part II
Part 1 was held quite a while back.
And after sometime, here’s part II.
Basically the workshop introduces the basics of how to use Creative Lighting System or CLS. Nikon calls it CLS. Other camera manufacturers also do have their own lighting system, just that they call it something else. I use the term loosely. CLS to me is when you use off camera flash. Simple.
Anyways, the workshop also touches on some other aspects of CLS including controlling multiple flashes to achieve what you want, at times requiring 2 or more flashes. Because to use a single flash, will create shadows. Personally I like shadows. Unfortunately it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. So additional flashes are required to fill in the dark areas. A reflector might do it, but hey.. it’s a CLS workshop. ehehe.
Here are some… of the many… ‘behind the scenes’ photos.. in no particular order.

Jason explaining how to set the flash

We had quite a number of flash guns this morning..

shot taken with someone’s new toy.. the 85mm f1.8

Model Stefanie.. waiting for flash setting lesson to finish..

Under the watchful eye of trainer..

“Aik.. this one not the microphone ar?”
