Black & White Photos

Recently, there’s a new challenge going about Facebook. Basically, a simple challenge of posting up a black and white photo each day for 5 days and nominating one other person to take up the challenge.

Most of the photos were dug out from the deep recesses of my backup hard drive. This one in particular was probably taken a long time ago, when I first got my ultra wide angle lens and decided to take a photo of the sun peeking from behind the cloud, casting a spray of light beams.

This one I like to entitle ‘Pray’. But I am thinking Hope would better. No?

Taken somewhere between Albany and Perth. I was trying to capture the setting sun, but my brother was in the frame. I asked him to move aside for a bit but he gave me this pose before walking out of frame. Somehow it adds a bit more character to the photo.

Another photo taken in Australia, this time I remember this place, Busselton.

Somehow, sometimes, black and white photos leaves a bit more to the imagination. I find that black and white photos have a bit more character, a bit more edge to it. But that’s just me.
